A friendship community

For people who want real friends, not more feeds.

The long-term plan is real software: small groups of compatible adults who meet, week after week. We’re starting with the people it’s for — so what gets built is shaped by the community, not guessed at.

01What Vesper is today

A community first. Everything else follows.

  • A Discord worth coming back to

Introductions, honest conversations, polls that actually steer what gets tried next. The community is the product right now — not a funnel into one.

  • The community steers

What gets tried next is voted on in the open, and what people write is read personally by the founder. Joining takes one click — no form, no approval.

  • Small on purpose

One founder, no team, no app — deliberately. Ideas like small weekly groups get tested by hand with volunteers first, and only if the community wants them.

02Why it matters

Loneliness isn’t a shortage of people.

1 in 6 people worldwide are affected by loneliness (WHO Commission on Social Connection, 2025) — and most lonely young Indians say they feel it even when surrounded by friends (national youth survey of 4,500 respondents, 2026). The gap isn’t finding people. It’s what happens after: plans that dissolve in group chats, one-off events with no next time, nobody willing to go first.

Vesper’s hunch — to be tested with the community, not asserted — is that friendship forms through repetition: the same faces, low-stakes time, week after week.

The honest version

What the evidence says, what might be broken, and why this starts with people instead of software.

03Where this is headed

The same few people, every week.

That’s the product Vesper means to build: a small group of compatible adults, meeting in person on a regular day, with the coordination and the safety work done for them so the only thing left to do is show up.

It starts with people because software should be shaped by the ones who’ll use it — the community decides what gets tried first.

04How joining works

Three steps. About one click.

No form, nothing to pay, no algorithm. How safety is handled, the ideas being explored, and honest answers live on How it works.

  1. Step one

    One click into the Discord

The invite button opens the door directly — no form, no approval, nothing to pay. If you're new to Discord, the app is free and takes two minutes.

  2. Step two

    Say hello

Introduce yourself, answer the weekly question, join an open evening. Someone replies within a day — usually the founder.

  3. Step three

    Help decide what's next

Conversations, polls, and small experiments run by hand with volunteers — including, one day, in-person meetups where enough members live close.

05Who it’s for

For the people this has been quietly hard for.

You've just arrived.

A new city, a new campus, a first job. Your closest friends are still your closest friends — they're just a flight away now, and Friday keeps arriving anyway.

You're surrounded, but it's thin.

Your circle shares one bubble — the same department, the same company, the same conversations. You don't need more people. You need different ones, and a few of them properly.

Big rooms cost you more than they give.

You'd take three real friends over thirty acquaintances. Cold approaches aren't your sport. You do better with a small plan, a clear structure, and knowing who will be there.

You want to feel safe, not brave.

Meeting strangers shouldn't require courage on top of everything else. Verified people, public places, a plan you can see in advance — the basics, done properly.

If you nodded at one of these — you’re exactly who this community is for.

06Join Vesper

Two doors. Both open.

The community is one click away — no form, no approval. The waitlist is there if you’d rather follow the software side first.

Join the Discord community

Where Vesper actually lives today: introductions, honest conversations, weekly questions, open evenings, and polls that decide what gets tried next. Free, adults 18+, and nothing to fill in first.

Join the Discord

Opens Discord in a new tab. No Discord account yet? The app is free and takes two minutes to set up.

Or join the waitlist

A one-minute form that goes straight to the founder. It helps shape what Vesper tries, and puts you first in line when the real software starts. You’ll get the Discord invite too.

Optional and separate from the Discord — join either, or both.

Vesper is a community for adults (18+). Honest numbers help us understand who’s finding us — nothing more.

What are you looking for from Vesper?

Your answers are used to plan Vesper and reach you about it. Nothing else, ever — how we handle data.

07Quick answers

Four things people ask first.

Longer answers live on How it works and Why Vesper. This is the short version.

Do I have to fill the waitlist form to join?

No. Joining the Discord is one click — no form, no approval. The waitlist is a separate, optional thing: a one-minute form that goes to the founder and puts you first in line when the software starts. Join whichever door suits you, or both.

Is Vesper dating?

No. Vesper exists for friendship and is designed to stay that way — group-first, no romantic framing. If that's what you're looking for, this genuinely isn't it.

Is anything confirmed — cities, pods, pricing?

No. Weekly small groups are an idea to test with volunteers, not a launched product. Nothing costs anything. The software comes later, once the community has earned it.

Why join something so early?

Because early members decide what it becomes. The people who show up now — what they say, what they vote for — determine what Vesper tries first and whether it builds anything at all.

Be here at the start.

The community is forming now; the software comes later, shaped by the people in the room. One click takes you straight in.
